Michael Redpath, Chief Inspiration Officer of
Redpath and Associates LLC, has completed the four
day New Jersey Smart Choices Leadership Institute
conducted by the Municipal Land Use Center of the
College of New Jersey.
Redpath and Toms River Township Planner Jay Lynch
represented Downtown Toms River at the March 12, 13,
22, and 23, 2007 at the Robert Wood Johnson
Foundation in Princeton, NJ. Asbury Park, Fair
Haven, Hamilton, Middlesex Borough, Orange/West
Orange, and Raritan Borough were the other
communities that participated.
Approximately half of each day was dedicated to
community leadership training for the participants,
and the other half went to working together on their
community projects. Representatives of many New
Jersey state agencies, including the Office of Smart
Growth, Department of Transportation, and Department
of Environmental Protection also participated in the
institute.
The New Jersey Smart Choices Leadership Institute
was facilitated by professors from the National
Center for Smart Growth Research and Education at
the University of Maryland. |
