Michael Redpath, president of
Redpath and Associates LLC has been appointed as
a counselor at the newly-opened Ocean County
satellite of the Monmouth/Ocean Small Business
Development Center (SBDC).
The Monmouth/Ocean Small
Business Development Center, established in
1979, is part of a national network of
university/college based centers that provide
comprehensive counseling to small business and
educational opportunities to small business
owners and potential business owners. By linking
the resources of the U.S. Small Business
Administration (SBA), the New Jersey Commerce
and Economic Growth Commission and the private
sector with those of Rutgers Graduate School of
Management and other college-based centers
throughout the state, the SBDC is able to assist
the growth of the small business community in
Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
While the Ocean County satellite
of the SBDC just opened on the campus of Ocean
County College in Toms River July 26, the SBDC
has served the two counties for 22 years.
Counseling is provided in a wide variety of
topics from initial establishment to expansion.
Free assistance is available at the centers or
at client businesses. All counseling is
confidential and person-to-person.
According to Redpath, "I
was very pleased to be recruited to be one of
the first counselors for the new SBDC satellite.
Tourism is such a major part of our economy in
Ocean County and I welcome the opportunity to
put my nearly 3 decades of experience in the
tourism industry to work assisting area
businesses."
