Customer service, marketing,
supervision, creative problem solving, prevention of
sexual harassment in the workplace, and dealing
with change may seem unrelated but Michael
Redpath, president of Redpath and Associates
LLC, has recently presented seminars in each of
those topics for clients of Ocean County College’s
Center for Business Education and Training and
Mercer County Community College's Center for
Training and Development.
As much as they may seem to be
unrelated topics, they all touch on respect,
according to Redpath. Each is based on respect
for yourself and respect for others, he
explains. "For example, I teach marketing from a
perspective of respecting the needs and
intelligence of the customer. Creative problem
solving involves respecting your innate
creativity and that of others."
After starting from the foundation of
respect for self and others each of the subject
areas certainly takes different directions, but
Redpath has experience in working with and
teaching each of the subjects. He has extensive
background in customer service both from a
hands-on management and service-delivery
standpoint and from a seminar standpoint.
Redpath has also been involved
in numerous seminars and workshops on human
sexuality and respecting diversity and
preventing sexual harassment, particularly for
the Episcopal Diocese of New Jersey. And his
nearly 30 years experience in counseling
teenagers and teaching leadership to teens and
adults equips him well for the topic of dealing
with change, an ongoing challenge of leadership.
Redpath is on call to the Center
for Business Education and Training in Brick
Town and the
Center for Business Education and Training in
Trenton to provide quality programs for the
college’s clients.
